Salina Kassam
Salina is a freelance photographer based in Toronto. She studied documentary photography at The International Centre for Photography in New York and Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto. Her work has taken her to many corners of the globe where her passion for observing the every day has culminated in many bodies of work that bring home a story that is sensitive to the human landscape. The evolution of her art has brought a realization that one can never truly document, rather we are limited to seeing only that which filters through our perspectives to our eyes.
Her work has won awards and she has been recognized for her contributions to many humanitarian organizations in Africa and India, Central America as well as at home in Canada. Salina has worked with Photosensitive, a group of photographers who focus on human issues bringing awareness through photography.
With a passion for film, Salina specializes in film and silver gelatin archival prints. She also uses digital photography and will happily discuss your specific needs, be it a wedding, your family, your children or a special event or project. Salina can also provide you with a gallery of prints to add that unique accent to your home or office.
