Statement
Just as a life lived without passion is wasted, a painting without passion is an opportunity lost.
I’m extremely fortunate to have found painting to be a viable way to make a living, and feel it’s my duty to imprint every painting I create with the love, exuberance, I feel for what I do. It isn’t everyone who gets the to actually paint for a living, and so I almost literally jump out of bed every morning in the knowledge that I’m fulfilling a lifelong dream come true.
I consider myself a “big picture” kind of artist, much more concerned about the overall effect than painstakingly adding blades of grass to a landscape. Composition, colour, technique and feeling are key elements that are common to all the best paintings, and pretty much what I key on when I go at a canvas.
